International Conference on Environmental Rights and Human Rights

Friends of the Earth International (FOEI), Transnational Institute (TNI),
Oilwatch and Friends of the Earth Colombia (CENSAT Agua Viva) are inviting you to attend a three- day conference on Environmental Rights and Human Rights in Cartagena, Colombia, September 16-18, 2003.

International experts on environmental issues and human rights issues will speak about:
  • the impact of war on environmental rights and human rights
  • human right violations of environmental activists
  • impunity for environmental crimes
  • biodiversity, public property or merchandise?
  • accountability for transnational corporations
  • land rights and territories
  • environmental justice
  • ecological debt from northern countries to the south.
