fundraising team meets in swaziland
The purpose of the fundraising session was to discuss setting up a fundraising team and devising a fundraising strategy for the federation.
All the participants agreed that these steps were crucial for improving our fundraising effectiveness and thus strengthening the federation and allowing us to achieve more of our goals. The meeting involved interesting discussions ranging from new ideas for raising money, fundraising collaborations between member groups, how to improve communication between fundraisers and capacity building.
By the end of the year the fundraising team was formed and the first steps towards devising the strategy were taken. The aim is to complete the strategy, which will cover international campaigns and the operational costs of the international secretariat, by the BGM in November 2008.
