FoEI Exchange Program in 2008
The exchange program involved 16 FoE groups and 11 community representatives, with in total involving more than 35 people in different regions from West Africa, Central America and South America. The program reached out to many more people indirectly through meetings, trips, discussions, reports, media coverage, websites, etc.
The exchanges stimulated co-operation, ideas for joint projects and for future learning and exchange activities between FoE groups in different countries and regions. The exchanges also nurtured a valuable increase in motivation. Participants built personal relationships and mutual understanding was created between the local hosts and the visitors. The participants learned about context-specific conditions, increased insight and knowledge on issues they learn from their local host and among other things the way other organizations and communities work.
