economic justice - resisting neoliberalism Trade and investment, development funding and corporate lobbying are the drivers of the current economic model. This model is based on the belief that export and economic growth will make the world a better place. However, whilst this has been very beneficial for large corporations, it excludes and even harms the most impoverished people while doing little to protect the environment.

Friends of the Earth International challenges the influence of big corporations and questions neoliberal policies and trade that do not take people’s needs into account. Our campaigns aim to change the course of the economy in a dynamic, creative and constructive way. We share the inspiration and the positive experiences with old and new, just and sustainable development thinking and practices.
