'Global Europe' is the new external relations strategy of the European Union (EU) with the rest of the world. It is geared at expanding free trade between Europe and other parts of the world. It also aims to secure market access and cheap supplies of raw materials for European companies.
Friends of the Earth International believes there are better options for the EU in the world. Our member groups around the world work together to better understand how Global Europe will affect people in individual countries. We confront the European Union with EU malpractive abroad and mobilise the European public. We also exchange information and strengthen solidarity between people and workers in Europe and the South.
