International Rivers supports local communities, environmental and human rights groups around the world working to protect their rivers and watersheds, to halt destructive river development projects, and to encourage equitable and sustainable methods of meeting needs for water, energy and flood management. International Rivers has a permanent staff of more than twenty and has created a worldwide network of supporters, funders, advisors, interns, and volunteers.
