The WISE network was set up in Amsterdam in 1978 at one of the first international meetings of the anti-nuclear movement. Since then, WISE has provided thousands of groups with independent, reliable and useful information. They co-operate with large environmental organizations but are particularly keen on working with small grassroots groups. Their mission is a world without nuclear energy. They initiate and are involved in campaigns but the main role of WISE Amsterdam is to serve other groups fighting against nukes.
