Friends of the Earth Sierra Leone

FoE Sierra Leone is a grassroots organization founded in 1989, the same year they joined FoEI. The organization has 25 local groups that promote environmental awareness, partly through their campaign on sustainable societies. FoE Sierra Leone also seeks to advance women and girls' roles in the sustainable management of resources. One example is the group's Intermediate Technology Centre, where villagers are trained in tailoring, typing, blacksmithing and toy making. FoE Sierra Leone publishes a newsletter called COTTON.
