"Lively, enthusiastic, critical, creative, active" are some of the key words which represent the members of the Mouvement Ecologique. In 1968, the environmental protection organization "Mouvement Ecologique" was set up by a group of young people. Like back then, today the members and friends of the "Mouvement Ecologique" fight for the protection of nature and environment, as well as for a better quality of life and democracy.

Today the Mouvement Ecologique has more than 3300 members, and most campaigning is done by volunteers. Information dissemination is a high priority, for example consumer advice and environmental consulting on environmental problems and laws. Our "ecological center" has a library with over 5,000 books on environmental subjects which can be consulted or borrowed. The Mouvement Ecologique and its foundation "Oeko-Fonds" organize an environmental fair "Oeko-Foire" each year whcih attracts more than 14,000 people.
