AmisdelaTerreBE Palestine HumanRightsDay

Every year on 10 December, Friends of the Earth International commemorates Human Rights Day. As a federation dedicated to peace, we want to highlight the internationalist solidarity with the Palestinian struggle and our call for a ceasefire.

Friends of the Earth International stands with the Palestinian people. The world is witnessing a genocide and an ecocide, the death toll of which is over 43,000 human lives – at least 56% of deaths have been women and children.

Our voices matter: These are the pictures and messages of solidarity from the Federation for #PalestineDay and Human Rights Day, as member groups demand a ceasefire now.

Standing with Palestine: ceasefire NOW!

Internationalist solidarity starts at the grassroots level: in France, every Saturday for the past year, the local group from Les Amis de la Terre Landes has taken part in rallies in support of Palestine in Mont de Marsan, Place du Marché Saint-Roch.

At the end of the rally, Les Amis de la Terre Landes took a photo with all the other organisations present.

A large number of national European groups have shown their support for Palestine. It is the case for the office in Brussels, for Belgium, Croatia, England-Wales-Northern Ireland,France, Scotland, Sweden and Switzerland. All demand a ceasefire and show solidarity with the Palestinian struggle.

There is no climate justice without a Free Palestine

In Indonesia, Walhi reminds us that there is no climate justice without a free Palestine.

Japan Palestine HumanRightsDay

In Asia Pacific, Sahabat Alam Malaysia / Friends of the Earth Malaysia and Friends of the Earth Japan also took part in the solidarity action for #PalestineDay.

Malaysia Palestine HumanRightsDay

In Latin America, Friends of the Earth Brazil shared a powerful thread as a reminder that there can be no climate justice without the liberation of Palestine. The group denounces the environmental impact of the war: the devastation of waterways, agricultural production and renewable energy infrastructures creating health and biodiversity crises in the Palestinian territories.

REDES / Friends of the Earth Uruguay strongly condems the genocide. Through the voice of the Real World Radio, we invite you to listen to the audiogram focusing on the Humanitarian situation in Gaza:

“We are shown irreversible devastation wreaked on Palestine at the hands of Israel, but the ties between the violations of international and human rights laws and militarisation are ignored.”
In Africa, Friends of the Earth Togo took part in the action; so did the International Secretariat of Friends of the Earth in Amsterdam, and historical allies and movements such as FIAN and La Via Campesina.

How you can make a difference: Action steps

In solidarity with all those affected, Friends of the Earth International is calling for international mobilisation.

One concrete way to support the struggle is by donating to this Friends of the Earth International Fundraising page.

Your donation will deliver desperately needed resources to Palestinians in Gaza, bringing green energy to the refugee camps and facilitating the installation of water purification systems.
