In Friends of the Earth International’s 2024 annual and financial reports, we highlight activities and achievements in our fight for environmental and social justice.

“Intensifying injustice and violent conflicts compounded the climate and biodiversity emergencies. Democracy was under threat as elites and corporations grew wealthier and more powerful. As ever, people who cause least harm suffered most.” – Hemantha Withanage, Friends of the Earth International Chair

Multiple intersecting crises continued to afflict our shared and precious planet in 2024 — the hottest year on record. For another year, Palestinians in Gaza were subject to the brutal massacre and ongoing genocide by the Israeli occupation.

Friends of the Earth International, our member groups and allies, human rights and environmental defenders, and grassroots social movements everywhere know that we have only one choice. We must continue to challenge and oppose injustice, build toward system change and denounce false solutions wherever they occur.

In times of crisis, Friends of the Earth’s long-sighted, tenacious, participatory and holistic campaigning and advocacy work is needed more than ever. Please read more about our work in our annual report and financial statements.
