In our 2025 annual report, we highlight our achievements in the struggle for environmental and social justice, and share how our federation has continued to resist, organise and build alternatives all over the world.

Throughout 2025, Friends of the Earth International (FoEI) and our member groups continued to confront the intertwined climate, biodiversity and inequality crises. By participating in international events, we kept the pressure on decision-makers to implement real solutions to the biodiversity crisis and pushed for an ambitious UN Binding Treaty to hold transnational corporations accountable. We also joined the food sovereignty movement at the third Nyéléni global forum in Kandy, Sri Lanka, as well as our allies at the Peoples’ Summit that took place alongside COP30 in Belém, Brazil. In 2025, Friends of the Earth International also elected a new Executive Committee, led by Elaine Gilligan and Theiva Lingam, who will continue building a stronger and more united federation in the years to come.
