Although proposed solutions to the climate and biodiversity and other interrelated crises abound, sadly few are viable. Analysis of these false solutions reveals that they deepen existing crises and create new problems. None address the causes of these crises, they merely reinforce the dominant economic system.

This document outlines the characteristics of such false solutions in relation to the financialisation of nature; as a tool to help communities, organisations and social movements assess which solutions are false and which are true, thus leading us to the system change that is necessary to overcome the crises we face.
